Meta Rolls Out Global Subscription Plans for Consumers, Tests New Offerings for Businesses, Creators, and AI Users.

The social networking giant has announced the launch of its subscription plans for consumers, dubbed "Plus" plans, which offer extra features on Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp. For a few dollars per month, users can gain access to profile customization, super reactions, and story insights among other things. The new plans are tailored to each individual app, with Facebook Plus and Instagram Plus focused more on social expression, while WhatsApp Plus focuses on personalization and messaging.

The "Plus" plans are priced at $3.99 per month for Instagram and Facebook, and $2.99 per month for WhatsApp. Meta is also testing other subscription offerings, including professional plans for creators and businesses, and AI-focused plans for all users. The company's head of product, Naomi Gleit, noted that "more fun features" will be added in the future.

The new "Meta One" platform will serve as the company's home for its subscription offerings, with tests set to begin next month in Singapore, Guatemala, and Bolivia. Two other plans for creators and businesses will also begin testing later this week in markets including Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Thailand, and Bangladesh.
